GRAVES
Your death items and XP are stored in an Echo Grave so recovery is safer and more structured.
Default Grave Lifetime: 6 hours
Public Access Delay: 3 minutes
Teleport Immunity: 60 seconds after grave teleport
What It Does
When you die, your inventory and dropped XP are stored in a grave instead of being scattered immediately.
You receive an Echo Recovery Compass that can teleport you back to your grave location for easier recovery.
When you reclaim your grave, there is also a 10% chance to receive your own player head as a bonus drop.
Death To Recovery Flow
| Step | What Players Experience |
|---|---|
| 1 | You die and an Echo Grave is created at your death location |
| 2 | On respawn, you receive an Echo Recovery Compass |
| 3 | Right-click the compass to open teleport confirmation |
| 4 | Teleport to your grave, then interact with the grave to reclaim items and XP |
Echo Recovery Compass
Your compass includes the grave coordinates and can be used as a direct teleport shortcut.
| Teleport Usage | Cost |
|---|---|
| First grave teleport | Free |
| Later teleports | Cost increases by 5 Echelites per use |
| Maximum cost | Capped at 100 Echelites |
After you successfully loot that grave, its Echo Compass turns back into a normal recovery compass.
Loot Rules
| Who Can Loot | When |
|---|---|
| Grave owner | Immediately |
| Other players | After the grave becomes public (3 minutes by default) |
If someone tries too early, they are denied until the owner-only window ends.
After Teleport Safety
Teleporting through the grave compass grants 60 seconds of strong protection and shows a countdown bar so you can recover safely.
Expiry Behavior
- If a grave is not looted before it expires, it dissolves.
- On expiry, stored items and XP are dropped at the grave location.
- If you are online when your grave expires, you receive an expiry message.
What If Something Goes Wrong?
| Situation | Result |
|---|---|
| Compass points to a removed grave | You get a message that the grave no longer exists |
| No free inventory space on recovery | Overflow items are dropped naturally near the grave |
| No meaningful drops on death | A grave may not be created |

A: No. Grave entities are protected from normal damage interactions.
Q: Is the grave always private forever?
A: No. It starts owner-only, then becomes public after the configured delay.
Q: Why did I lose my teleport for that compass?
A: Once a grave is looted or gone, that Echo Compass no longer has an active grave target.
